This Geriatric Suture Pad is designed to mimic the first 5 layers of the body wall of a geriatric patient. The layers replicate the Epidermis, Subcutaneous, first Fascia layer, Muscle, and second Fascia layer. The superficial layers can be used to replicate skin anywhere on the body. Each layer is uniquely formulated to replicate its respective real-life tissue layer, the textures and relative body wall strength of a patient with much more delicate skin. Much like real life situations, the skin layer on this pad is more fragile to encourage the correct pressure and suturing intensity necessary for geriatric patients.
